Spartanburg Resident
John Moore has proudly called Spartanburg home for 41 years. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Caterrace Moore, and together they have built a strong family and raised two daughters on Spartanburg’s Westside. Raised by his grandparents on the Southside of Spartanburg, John learned the values of faith, hard work, discipline, and community responsibility at an early age. GOD first, family second, and the rest will follow. His Christian faith is very important to him and his family, and it guides their decisions throughout all areas of their lives.
John graduated from Spartanburg High School and Spartanburg Community College before building a successful 15-year career in healthcare throughout Spartanburg County. He worked at Spartanburg Regional, Mary Black, and Pelham Medical Center as a Surgical Technician before advancing into neurosurgical medical sales.
After surviving a stroke in 2021, John reevaluated his priorities and chose to focus more on family, community, and serving others. He transitioned into real estate, where he continues helping local families and gaining firsthand understanding of Spartanburg’s housing growth and development challenges.
John decided to run for Spartanburg County Council District 6 after seeing many residents feel unheard on major local issues. His campaign is built around transparency, responsible growth, public safety, infrastructure planning, and community involvement.
